Easy schedule? Fuhgeddaboutit
Some might have expected Rock Hill to go with an easier schedule in Bubba Pittman's third year as the Bearcats' head coach, but it certainly did not. Dorman and South Pointe played in state title games last season, Blythewood is on the rise, York is solid annually and Gaffney is... Gaffney. Each one of those teams made the playoffs last season.
But in some ways, non-region schedules don't really matter any more with the SCHSL's points system chucked out the window. Rock Hill could go 0-5 in non-region play, win one or two games in region play and still make the playoffs. Pittman would probably be content with that hypothetical coming true.
